Pre-school Building & Programs

InfantsWe know that the ordinary, everyday things that surround your baby each day dramatically affect the way that he or she will grow and learn and develop. It is our responsibility to provide your child with a day full of positive experiences. We interact with each child through words, with gentle touch and with genuine care. Your baby will have toys, blocks, music, and most importantly, caregiver involvement. Each staff member is encouraged to develop attachments to the babies in our care.
ToddlersYour child was born ready to learn. Toddlers experience their world best through exploration, touching, tasting, and doing. We help your toddler by giving them the opportunity to see, hear, taste, and touch their world. We use books, music, blocks, water play, rice play, outdoor time and large motor skills activities to provide these experiences for your child.
Pre-schoolOur Pre-school program has been designed to introduce your child to the school experience. Using both sit-down table lessons and structured learning-through-play activities he or she will continue to develop language skills, social skills and academic skills. Learning centers are used to encourage sharing, cooperation and independent thinking. Outdoor time and a large playroom are used each day for more physical activities. Books, games and music are also a part of each day.
Pre-kindergartenFollowing the Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and using the Kindergarten Skills List, we have developed the Pre-K program to prepare your child to succeed in his or her first year of school. You will receive a program calendar so that, through at-home activities, you can be a part of your child’s kindergarten preparation. We continue to incorporate learning centers, the learn-through-play philosophy, and outdoor time into your child’s day. Our goal is that your child will not only be academically ready for kindergarten, but also socially and emotionally ready as well.

S.A.F.E. Center Building & Programs

Before & After SchoolAt the SAFE Center we offer both before and after school care, with transportation to and from most of the elementary and middle schools in Rogers. We offer all day care when school is out of session, including the continuous learning school calendar. We have a large facility that includes a 1/2 size gym, arts and crafts room, toy room, library and homework room.
Group size is limited to 15 and each group has access to activities in each area. Outdoor time is an important part of every day when weather permits. Older children are in the loft area of the building, where they have a little more freedom to participate in various activities based to their own likes and needs. Summer CampThe S.A.F.E. Program also includes full day services for children out of school for the summer recess. Our summer camp begins the first day that school is out and continues until the day before school starts back.
We offer activities to make the day fun and full of experience. These include swimming, skating, bowling, gator golf, museums, parks and organized activities on our spacious playground. Field trips are scheduled throughout the summer, and have included visits to the Tulsa Zoo, Reptile World in Joplin, and Space & Aeronautics Museum in Tulsa. We serve breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snacks. Water, fruit juices, koolaid and milk are offered during meal and snack times; and water is available all during the day. Children may bring their own lunch, but we discourage soft drinks. |
